Apart from the age-old and given online forum prohibition against the posting of spam and other off-topic posts, there's but a single posting no-no on the CM&OF.

Please do NOT post here the full text of, or extended extracts from, material published elsewhere as all such material — whether from print publications, or from blogs or other online sites — is, by law, under copyright protection at the instant of its author putting it in fixed form. Copying and reproducing such material is not only illegal but unethical, which is much more to the point. Instead, quote a short extract from such copyrighted material as a teaser (to comply with what's called "Fair Use" in copyright law, 10% or less of the full text is a good rule of thumb to follow), place that quoted short extract between BBCode QUOTE tags so that when displayed in the finished post it's readily recognizable as a quote, and then, additionally, provide a link to the source of the original material if available. Any post containing the full text of, or extended extracts from, copyrighted material will, upon discovery, be summarily deleted. (The copying and reproduction here of original posts posted to other public online forums are exempt from this CM&OF prohibition as long as those posts do not contain the full text of, or extended extracts from, copyrighted material taken from elsewhere.)
